When everyone turns.

02/03/2026

When everyone turns.

"You're not straight because you never change—it's because you don't give yourself away."

In a small town, there lived a man who was said to be stubborn.

He didn't shout.

He didn't argue much.

He just didn't turn.

When the others changed their opinions overnight, he didn't.

When the loudest became the right ones, he didn't become louder.

When they said, "That's the fashion now," he just said, "Maybe."

A friend once asked him:

- Why don't you adapt? It would be easier.

The man smiled.

- I can adapt, he said. - But not every wind changes direction.

- But then you'll be lonely.

- Maybe, he nodded. - But at least I won't lose myself.

- Once a big argument broke out in the town.

- Sides were formed.

Flags, voices, emotions.

The man stood there in the square, silent.

He didn't applaud.

He didn't curse.

He didn't stand behind anyone blindly.

He just said what he always thought.

Some turned their backs on him.

Some laughed at him.

Some understood him.

The years passed.

The loud people disappeared.

The flags were replaced.

But the man stood there the same.

Not because he was right about everything.

But because he didn't give in to the easy way out.

A young man once approached him.

- How do you know when to stay and when to change?

The man replied:

- You have to change when you learn.

You have to stay when you are being pressured.
