The tentacle and the central brain.

26/08/2025

The tentacle and the central brain.

There was once a polyp in the deep sea.

Each of his tentacles lived separately: he was groping, feeling, moving - as if he were his own will.

And yet, every movement belonged to an invisible central brain that hid in the depths.

One of the tentacles said one day:

- Why do we always have to obey the center? After all, I see, I feel, I can decide. Can't I be the center myself?

The others listened. Some nodded, some waved.

But the brain remained silent.

The tentacle then set off on its own. He gripped, grabbed the stones, tried to follow his own will.

And see the miracle: it worked. He had the strength, he had a decision.

But after a while, he noticed that he didn't know what was happening to the others. You don't know where the deep and where the surface is.

It was like a blind traveler on an unknown map.

Then he thought:

- Maybe the center doesn't command. Maybe he just connects. And what I feel freedom,

In fact, it has always been part of something bigger.

And from here the end of the story remains open.

Because no one knows if the tentacle has returned to the center or has lived an independent life.

Just as the center itself is just a tentacle of another, even the bigger creature.
