The Story of the Two Pitchers.
The Story of the Two Pitchers.
Once upon a time there was an old woman who took two large pitchers to the well every day.
One pitcher was intact, but the other had a small crack.
When she walked home, the intact pitcher always arrived full, but the cracked pitcher started leaking water halfway through, so it could never bring as much as its companion.
This went on for years. The cracked pitcher felt ashamed, and one day it said to the woman:
- I'm sorry that I let you down every day. The intact pitcher is always full, and I'm only half full. I feel useless.
The woman smiled, stroked the pitcher, and replied:
- Just look at the path home. Can't you see that flowers bloom all the way on the side where you are? You know, I planted seeds every day and you watered them. That's why our house is always full of colorful flowers.
The jar then understood: what it thought was a flaw was actually a gift.
Its imperfection gave it the beauty of life.
👉 Lesson:
You don't always have to see the flaws in yourself or others. Sometimes it's the cracks that give you the most value - you just have to look at them with different eyes.
