The smell of coffee.

An old lady sat in the same cafe every afternoon.

She didn't have a phone, she didn't read a newspaper, she just watched people in silence and slowly sipped her coffee.

One day the waitress couldn't take it anymore and asked:

"Auntie, why do you always sit here alone? Aren't you bored?"

The lady smiled.

"I'm not alone, son. I'm just listening to someone right now."

"Who?" the waitress asked in surprise.

"Life," she said, pointing to the steaming cup. "Every day has a different taste. You just have to learn to taste it before it gets cold.
