The silence of thought.

05/02/2026

The silence of care.

"Real care is not loud – it always arrives on time."

It was barely light in the morning when the light glinted on the wet stones of the streets.

It wasn't a special day.

Nothing that the newspapers would write about happened.

Only one man went shopping for his mother so that he wouldn't have to go out in the slippery, cold weather.

And on the way, he bought a phone for someone who had given everything he had the day before.

He didn't tell anyone about it.

He didn't take a picture of it.

He didn't say, "Look, I did something good."

He simply knew what was coming.

The cash register in the store still rang, people were still hurrying on the street, and the world suddenly didn't become a better place.

But somewhere, something had changed.

In a kitchen, soup was cooking more quietly.

A phone was hidden in a pocket, which now meant not loneliness but opportunity.

No one applauded.

No one said it was a heroic act.

Because caring is usually not loud.

It doesn't ask for attention.

It doesn't want to be seen.

It's just punctual.

It arrives exactly where it's needed.

And just when it's almost too late.

There's no celebration at the end of days like these.

Just a faint feeling that something has fallen into place.

And perhaps that's the greatest order a person can leave behind in the world.

SILENCE.
