The gate to the future.
The Gate to the Future.
(Thought Notebook – Reflection)
There is an old truth that many people quote, but few really understand:
"Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future."
The world is full of judgment.
People like to say who is good and who is bad,
who deserves a second chance and who is no longer good enough.
But life doesn't work that way.
A saint today may fall tomorrow.
And a sinner today may rise tomorrow.
The soul does not remain still: it changes,
expands, learns, and shapes itself every moment.
The past is not a seal.
The future is not a judgment.
And a person is not what others say about him,
but how he is able to change.
Some people build a wall from their past to hide behind.
And some people build a bridge from their past to move on.
Sin is not a terminal station.
A bad decision is not a life sentence.
Some people rise from the bottom to the top because they learn what the flawless never do:
responsibility,
humility,
and that light begins within, not without.
But there is another side.
Where people don't want to change.
Where the past is comfortable, anger is familiar, and destruction is easier than building.
If you don't want to step out of the darkness, you'll open the door for them in vain.
The future is right in front of them, but they won't step through it.
And this is the point where the true person quietly steps back.
Because they know:
We are not here to walk for others, but to show them the way.
Everyone has to walk through it for themselves.
Kindness doesn't mean blind trust.
Forgiveness doesn't mean to tolerate everything.
Compassion does not mean that you let someone hurt you.
A wise person can give, but they can also draw boundaries.
And when they let go of someone who doesn't want a future,
that is not harshness,
but recognition:
"I have to move on, because my future is not here."
This is how a person will have peace in their heart.
This is how they will preserve their light.
This is how their gaze will remain clear, their back straight, and their soul calm.
The gate to the future is there for everyone.
But only those who dare to bring light to their own name will step through it.
