The envious gift.
The envious gift.
There was once a man who always proclaimed loudly:
- You would have nothing without me! I gave him everything!
Many people in the village heard this, and sometimes believed it because the envious man could say so convincingly. However, the other person did not protest. Worked quietly, carried his burdens and built from it,
that he got with his own hands.
One day the villagers asked him:
- Is it true that he gave you everything?
The man smiled.
"Yes, he gave me something," he replied.
- He gave me envy, suspicion and malice. I accepted these from him and transformed them into a force. My wealth did not give him: his poison only became oil for my fire.
And the villagers then understood:
The envious person always gives - just what he gives is toxic. It is a smart person to take power from it.
