The light of the library.

In an old library, a single lamp was left on every night.

The librarian said that "books don't like to sleep alone."

A little boy often went there because he had no heat at home.

He sat quietly by the window and read as long as the light of the lamp lasted.

One evening he asked the librarian:

- Why do you leave the lamp on when no one is reading?

- Because someone might be dreaming outside,

and the light of the books helps them remember, she replied with a smile.

Years passed.

The boy grew up and returned to the library again.

The building had changed, but a lamp was still burning in the corner.

He stopped in front of it, bowed his head, and smiled.

The light was still flickering, and the silence of the books breathed just as it had before.

Because it's not books that are afraid of the dark, but people who forget to read the light.
