The year was not difficult because a lot of things happened, but because we had to remain human in the meantime.

And it was not beautiful because everything was in order, but because there were moments when we could be present even in the mess.

On the last day of the year, a person wants nothing more.

Not plans, not vows, not promises.

Only that what was true remains.

So that attention does not wear out.

So that patience does not run out at the first difficulty.

So that selflessness is not a rare exception, but a quiet basis.

And that the next year is not necessarily easier — only more humane.

The new year does not begin when the clock strikes midnight, but when someone wakes up without forgetting why the other is important.

That is why we do not wish perfection on the last day of the year.

Only health for the body, peace for the soul, and enough strength so that when you have to choose, you choose the good — even if it is not easy.
