The story of the son of Pharaoh and the high priest

Once a long time ago, in ancient Egypt, a child was born on the same day for Pharaoh and the high priest. The two boys grew up together as brothers. Although they had different destiny - one for the throne and the other for service - their friendship was deep and honest.

The son of the high priest was a strange custom: whatever happened to him, good or bad, he always said the same thing:

"Thank goodness! The Pharaoh's son often smiled at this, but he did not understand how to give thanks even when he was in trouble."

The hunt and trial

One day, the son of Pharaoh went hunting with his friend.

However, during the hunt, there was a misfortune: Pharaoh's son was severely injured and his doctor was forced to cut off his two fingers to save his life. Even then, his friend said:

- God forbid! The son of Pharaoh was angry:

- What are you thanking?! I lost two fingers and you are happy about it?

In his anger, he imprisoned his friend.

A strange turn of fate

He started hunting again in a few weeks - this time without a friend. But hunting turned into a tragedy: he was captured by a human tribe, who sacrificed and ate their prisoners every day in honor of their gods. When they wanted to sacrifice the son of Pharaoh, they noticed that two fingers were missing.

According to the tribe's belief, a damaged body cannot be sacrificed because it would violate the gods. So he was released.

The meaning of gratitude

When he returned home, the Pharaoh's son immediately ran to prison to free his friend. He said with tears:

- You were right! If I hadn't lost my fingers, I wouldn't live now. But tell me why you grateful then,

When I was thrown into imprisonment innocently? The son of the high priest replied with a smile:

"God forbid, because if you hadn't closed, I would have kept hunting with you ... and then they would have eaten. And the Pharaoh's son understood: We don't always know why." It is enough to believe that everything has a purpose - even for rehearsals.

Lesson

Life sometimes leads to mysterious roads. What seems like a loss today may be the reason for our escape tomorrow. Thanks to not only if everything goes well - but also if we trust that there is a difficulty.
