Between the two directions.
Between the two directions.
"It is not the one who stops to listen who is late, but the one who does not hear what is called."
A wanderer set out on a long journey one morning.
He had many places to go in one day, and each direction seemed important.
One path led towards duty.
The other towards the quiet attention of the body.
The wanderer paused for a moment at the fork,
because he knew:
Sometimes the hardest decision is not which way to go,
but whether we will hear what we really need.
Then an old shepherd came up to him, as if he had always been there.
- Where are you in such a hurry? - he asked.
- Everywhere - the wanderer answered.
- But in the meantime I am afraid that I will be late somewhere.
The old man smiled.
- A person is only really late from where,
where his soul calls him, but he still goes somewhere else.
The wanderer was silent for a long time.
Then he chose not the fastest path, but the one he could walk in peace.
And strangely enough, he still arrived everywhere on time that day.
Because when a man steps into his place, time also stands by him.
Peace.
