The path of light – the four candles and the secret of the fifth

The candles of the Advent wreath are not made up of colors, but of the path of the soul.

1. The color of hope is purple: departure

2. The color of faith is purple: perseverance

3. The color of joy is pink: the light is approaching

4. The color of love is purple: the threshold of light

5. The color of fulfillment is white (Christ candle) the light has arrived

The pink breaks through the purple at the third candle.

Not the end, just a breath in the middle:

"Hold on, the light is near."

But fulfillment… the white flame… is no longer of Advent.

That light is not lit by waiting, but by encounter.

That is why the fifth candle stands in the middle of many wreaths: the pure white, the nascent light.

It is not the candle of Advent.

It is of fulfillment.

It's the moment when darkness is no longer an enemy,

just a memory.

And the light – finally – finds its way home.
